The spores of this strain are truly unique, and the fruits of it are beautiful when in the wild.

Scientific breakdown
? Species
The Red Boy strain comes from the magic mushroom species formally known as Psilocybe Cubensis. Psilocybe Cubensis is a naturally occurring mushroom species that commonly appears in cow-dung, pastures, or other hot & humid habitats around the world. This strain, however, was isolated into its current form by mycologists in a laboratory setting, but maintains many properties of its wild ancestors.? Spore Characteristics
The spores of Red Boy mushrooms are dark purplish to black, and sub ellipsoid on 4-spored basidia. Occasionally, the spores release and have a metallic-reddish color, almost like blood. Caps are generally dark spore printers and 40-60mm in diameter. This strain provides ample research material. Viewing these spores under a microscope is a spectacle worth experiencing.
Rarity
Red Boy is relatively rare in regard to its availability. However, it is rare to find Red Boy spores with proven, tested genetics. Many vendors will provide mixed bags, old / unviable spores, or give you a different species all together. We’ve been supplying spores since 2008, and have a team of mycologists ensuring the authenticity of every batch.
